4 Week Service Dog Foundations (Zoom)

If you’re owner-training a service dog and want a clear, structured start (without guessing), this 4‑week Zoom program builds the foundation skills that prevent most washouts: engagement, neutrality, recovery, and an “off switch.”

Who this is for

• Owner-trained service dog candidates (psychiatric and/or mobility foundations)

• Owners with no local Service Dog Trainers

• Handlers who prefer Zoom coaching and short, focused sessions

What’s included

• 4 Zoom sessions (30 minutes each) — one per week

• A customized homework plan after each session (simple steps, not overwhelming)

• Written 4‑week roadmap (what to train first, and in what order)

• Between-session support: up to 2 short messages per week for clarification/troubleshooting

• Optional: you can send 1 short training video/week for quick feedback

What we work on (based on your dog)

• Engagement and focus in real-life environments

• Loose leash foundations + handler mechanics

• Settle/“off switch” (mat work and duration)

• Neutrality around people/dogs (reduce overexcitement/reactivity)

• Exposure plan (how to introduce new places without flooding)

• Early task foundations (as appropriate): targeting, interrupts, retrieve foundations, etc.

I provide training/coaching only. I do not certify or register service dogs.

Availability
Weekdays 8:30am–2:00pm, plus Wednesday evenings after 6:00pm (Zoom-only). Limited every-other Friday evenings.
